Iskenderunspor coach İbrahim Halil Ölmez died during a strong earthquake in Turkey, the team's press service announced on its social networks.
Ölmez was found in critical condition under the rubble of one of the buildings. The coach was able to get to a hospital, but his injuries were fatal.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our coach, İbrahim Halil Ölmez, who was rescued from under the rubble and taken to intensive care after the earthquake. We express our condolences to the family of the deceased," - wrote the club's press service.
Recall that there was a strong earthquake in Turkey and Syria with a magnitude of 7.8 out of ten possible. About seven thousand people died and 30 thousand more were injured as a result of the natural disaster.
