Italian Football Federation President Calls Mancini's Departure From National Team A Betrayal

President of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) Gabriele Gravina commented on the departure of Roberto Mancini from the post of head coach of the national team of the country.

Mancini headed the Italian national team from May 14, 2018 to August 13, 2023. Under the leadership of the specialist, the national team became the champion of Euro 2020, defeating England in the final.

Football Italia quotes Gravina as saying:

Mancini's choice disappointed me not on a sporting level, but on a human level. I felt betrayed in a pure feeling, towards Roberto, who I have always considered my friend.

Earlier it became known that Mancini took charge of the Saudi Arabian national team, his contract with the national team runs until the summer of 2026.
