Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation, said Italy may not manage to prepare in time for the European Championship scheduled to be held there in 2032.
Gabriele Gravina for Fortuneita
Italy is lagging behind. EURO 2032 is an unrepeatable opportunity to renew our stadiums, but we risk losing it. We need modern arenas and the support of the Government. Private enterprise is ready to invest, but the procedure has to be simplified.
On October 10, 2023, UEFA announced at its congress in Nyon that Euro 2032 will take place in Italy and Turkey; it will be the 19th edition and is expected to feature 32 teams.
