Manchester City and England defender John Stones, 31, told the BBC that he had considered retiring after the 2024-25 season because of injuries.
According to the Englishman, last season was difficult for him. He was tired of battling injuries and didn’t know how to handle it. Because of that, he contemplated ending his career.

I had had enough of being so professional and trying to do everything right in my power, to then keep breaking down and not having the answers. It was a very difficult place to be in.
