
Bayern striker Harry Kane set a Champions League record for English players after scoring a double against Chelsea in a 3-1 win in the opening group-stage match of the 2025-26 season.
According to Squawka, Kane now leads English players in the Champions League for goal contributions, with 53 goal+assist points in 58 appearances (42 goals and 11 assists). The previous record-holder was David Beckham, who had 52 points (16 goals and 36 assists).
Kane has played for Bayern since the summer of 2023. In total he has appeared in 102 matches for the Bavarian club across all competitions, scoring 95 goals and providing 29 assists.
Bayern will face Pafos in the second Champions League round. The match is scheduled for September 30 at 22:00 GMT+3.
