Fans in Kolkata expressed extreme displeasure with the organization of an event at the Salt Lake Stadium dedicated to the visit of Lionel Messi.
According to ANI, admirers of the Argentine player were disappointed by his premature departure from the stadium, considering they had paid a lot of money to attend the event. Following Messi's departure, enraged spectators began throwing bottles and chairs and destroying barriers.
The Argentine forward also unveiled his 21-meter-tall statue in Kolkata. It was previously reported in the press that Messi would visit four cities during his Indian tour: Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
