According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has declined the club's offer to extend his contract. The 26-year-old Frenchman did not agree to a new deal that would run until 2030.
His current contract is valid until the summer of 2026. Reports have also suggested that Real Madrid are interested in Konate and are considering a potential transfer during the summer window.
Konate has been with the Reds since July 2021, playing a total of 132 matches, scoring five goals, and providing four assists. His market value is estimated at €60 million by Transfermarkt.
