Forward Kylian Mbappe has been hospitalized in a medical facility in the United States, as announced on the official website of Real Madrid.
The club stated that the athlete is suffering from acute gastroenteritis and has been hospitalized for tests and treatment.
Prior to this, the 26-year-old Mbappe missed the opening match of the Club World Cup 2025 against Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal due to his illness. Real Madrid began their tournament campaign in the U.S. with a 1-1 draw. On Sunday, June 22, Madrid will face Mexican club Pachuca in their second match, which will kick off at 22:00 GMT+3.
