Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé shared his thoughts on being compared to former los Blancos star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kylian Mbappé
I don’t know how to answer that question. Everyone knows Cristiano is the reference point in Madrid, the number one. I’ve been here for a year and a half, and he was here for nine years. I can’t compare myself to what he did; my path is different. I want to follow my own path. Being mentioned alongside Cristiano is already an honor, but I just want to make my own way, help the team, and win as many titles as possible.
Cristiano Ronaldo represented Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018, appearing in 438 matches, scoring 450 goals, and providing 131 assists.
Mbappe joined the Spanish powerhouse in the summer of 2024 and has since netted 60 goals in 72 matches across all competitions.
Real Madrid currently sit atop La Liga with 27 points. In their next match, they will host Valencia on November 1, with kickoff scheduled for 23:00 p.m. GMT+3.
