According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pisa is considering Davide Ancelotti as a primary candidate for their head coaching vacancy.
The 36-year-old son of legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly the frontrunner to replace Alberto Gilardino. The club's hierarchy is prepared to trust the young tactician, who recently completed his first stint as a head coach with Brazilian side Botafogo.
Davide departed the Rio de Janeiro club on December 18 due to disagreements with the board. Under his leadership, Botafogo finished sixth in the 2025 Brazilian Serie A and reached the Round of 16 in the Copa Libertadores. Prior to his move to Brazil, Davide served as an assistant to his father at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, and Real Madrid.
Pisa currently sit in 19th place in Serie A with 11 points after 16 matches, trailing safety by three points.
