Barcelona and Poland forward Robert Lewandowski is seriously considering retiring at the end of the current season. This was reported by Diario Sport.
According to the source, the 37-year-old Pole is prepared to end his career next summer if he cannot continue playing for Barcelona or receives no other attractive offer.
It is noted that Robert Lewandowski and his family feel at home in Barcelona and enjoy living in the city. A move to Saudi Arabia for a higher salary is not part of the Polish forward’s plans. For this reason, he is considering only the possibility of remaining at Barcelona or retiring.
To secure a chance to stay at Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski is willing to accept playing fewer minutes or assuming a secondary position within the Catalan squad.
Robert Lewandowski has played for the Blaugrana since July 2022. This season, he has scored seven goals in 12 appearances across all competitions. His current contract with the Catalan club runs through June 30, 2026. Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at €10 million.
After 12 matchdays of the current La Liga season, Barcelona sit second in the standings with 28 points.
