Liverpool have postponed the start of their preseason training due to the tragic death of forward Diogo Jota, according to The Independent.
Originally, the first group of players was set to arrive at the club on July 4, with training scheduled to begin on July 8. However, these dates have now been revised. The player's funeral took place on July 5, and many club members attended to pay their respects.
The news of Jota's death, along with that of his brother Andre Silva, was reported on July 3. They were victims of a car accident in Spain, where their vehicle veered off the road and caught fire. Diogo Jota was 28 years old, while Andre Silva was 25.
