French football club Lyon announced on their social networks the signing of Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matić, who played for Rennes.
The midfielder is known for his performances for Benfica, Chelsea and Manchester United, having won three EPL titles with the Blues. Matic played 48 matches for the Serbian national team.
It is reported that the agreement with the 35-year-old midfielder is valid until 2026. The transfer fee amounted to 2.6 million euros.
Matic played 19 matches in all tournaments in the current season as part of Rennes, making three assists.
