Manchester United were hammered 3-0 by Manchester City in the fourth round of the Premier League. After four matches, Ruben Amorim’s side have only four points – their worst start to a league campaign since the 1992-93 season.
Back then, under Alex Ferguson, United lost to Sheffield United (1-2) and Everton (0-3), drew with Ipswich (1-1) and beat Southampton (1-0), yet went on to win the title.
This season United have already lost to Arsenal (0-1), drawn with Fulham (1-1) and beaten Burnley (3-2). The Red Devils’ next match is at home against Chelsea on September 20.
