Manchester United are in negotiations for the potential return of 34-year-old Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea, according to The Sun.
The Spanish goalkeeper impressed the coaching staff of the Red Devils during a friendly match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Afterward, Manchester United discovered that there is a relatively low buyout clause in the player's contract. The club is now considering bringing de Gea back as they search for a replacement for Andre Onana.
De Gea has been with Fiorentina since 2024. He played for Manchester United from 2011 to 2023, making 545 appearances and winning eight trophies during his time at the club.
