Paris Saint-Germain captain and defender Marquinhos has decided to stay with the French club, as reported by L’Equipe.
According to the source, the 31-year-old Brazilian defender considered leaving the team and received lucrative offers from clubs in the Persian Gulf region.
Additionally, Marquinhos is aware that competition for his position will increase following the signing of Ukrainian central defender Illia Zabarnyi from Bournemouth. Nevertheless, despite these circumstances, the Paris captain does not intend to leave the capital club.
For context, Marquinhos has been with PSG since July 2013 and holds the record for the most appearances in the club's history.
Earlier, Italian journalist Nicolo Schira reported that PSG had completed the deal for Illia Zabarnyi from Bournemouth.
