Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has become involved in a scandal for alleged bribery of police officers during France's national team security detail in 2023.
According to RMC Sport, five police officers received a total of €180,300 from the account of the 25-year-old forward. Four officers received €30,000 each, while their supervisor received €60,300.
Mbappé stated that he intended to reward the law enforcement officers responsible for the safety of the French national team players.
The forward is cooperating with the investigation.
Earlier, it was revealed that Mbappé filed a lawsuit against Paris Saint-Germain, accusing the club of psychological pressure and coercion to sign a new contract in 2023.
