In 2025, French forward Kylian Mbappe recorded his 59th goal for Real Madrid. The goal came during a 17th-round La Liga match against Sevilla, which the Madrid side won 2-0.
With this strike, Mbappe equaled Cristiano Ronaldo's record for the most goals scored for Real Madrid in a single calendar year. Ronaldo set the mark in 2013, also netting 59 times.
Real Madrid concluded their 2025 competitive fixtures with the Sevilla match before heading into the Christmas break, meaning Mbappe will not have another opportunity to surpass the Portuguese star's record this year.
Mbappe joined Real Madrid in 2024 and is under contract until 2029. This season, he has scored 30 goals and provided four assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
