Mbappe First After Ronaldo to Score 10+ Goals for Real in 9 la Liga Matches

According to Opta Sport, the forward of the Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and captain of the French national team, Kylian Mbappe, became the hero of the ninth round match of La Liga against Getafe, achieving a unique milestone in the history of los Blancos.

On October 19, Real Madrid won away against Getafe 1-0. The only goal, scored in the 80th minute, was by 26-year-old Mbappe, marking his tenth goal in nine league matches of the 2025-2026 La Liga season.

Thus, “Donatello” became the first Real’s player since the 2014-2015 season to net ten or more goals in the first nine league games. The last player to reach this mark before Mbappe was Cristiano Ronaldo, the 2016 European champion, now a forward for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team, who scored 17 goals.

Mbappe has played for Real since July 2024, transferring from Paris Saint-Germain. His contract with Real runs until the end of June 2029. Transfermarkt estimates Mbappe’s market value at €180 million.
