Messi has been playing for Inter Miami since 2023, having transferred from PSG. For the American club, he has appeared in a total of 81 matches, scoring 68 goals and providing 36 assists.
In the 2025 MLS season, Inter Miami finished third in the standings with 65 points. The team now faces the playoff matches.
