Argentinian forward Lionel Messi of Inter Miami has been awarded the title of Player of the Month for July in Major League Soccer. This was announced by the press service of the North American league.
Throughout this month, Messi played five matches, scoring eight goals and providing two assists. He missed the final match of the month due to suspension, which was a result of his decision not to participate in the All-Star Game.
This is Messi’s fourth award of this kind since joining the league and his second this season.
Messi's contract with Inter Miami runs until the end of 2025.
