Messi Sets MLS Record for MVP Awards Among Active Players

Star Argentine forward Lionel Messi of Inter Miami has been named the best player for Matchdays 23 and 24 of MLS. He scored doubles in matches against the New England Revolution (2-1) and Nashville (2-1).

As a result, Messi secured the MVP award for these two games – his fourth of the current season and the tenth of his career in the league. This achievement places him ahead of all active MLS players.

Thanks to these victories, Inter Miami have risen to the top of the Eastern Conference.

Looking ahead, the Pink team will face Cincinnati away, with the match scheduled for July 17 at 2:30 AM GMT+3.

Lionel Messi has been with Inter Miami since 2023. In 66 matches for the American club across all competitions, he has scored 56 goals and provided 25 assists.

His contract with the American club expires at the end of December 2025. According to Transfermarkt, the 38-year-old Argentine's transfer value is estimated at 18 million euros.
