The 36-year-old forward led the list of the 50 best footballers. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland took second place, while Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham became the third.
5 million people took part in the poll. It is worth noting that forward of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo did not appear in the GOAL50 rating.
Earlier it became known that Messi and Ronaldo were not among the top 10 athletes searched on Google in 2023. At that, the most popular football club by queries is Inter Miami, where Messi has been playing since last summer.
