The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has announced that AC Milan and Como are set to make history with the first-ever Serie A match outside of Italy.
The game between the Rossoneri and Cesc Fabregas's team is planned to take place in Perth, Western Australia.
The FIGC leadership has agreed to host the Serie A match on another continent; however, approval from FIFA, UEFA, the Football Federation Australia, and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is necessary for the event to proceed.
In last season's Italian championship, AC Milan finished in eighth place with 63 points, while Como finished the season in tenth place with 49 points.
