The Portuguese coach took over Fenerbahçe in June 2024. His contract with the Istanbul club runs until summer 2026.
Currently, Fenerbahçe hold second place in the Turkish league with 75 points, eight points behind leaders Galatasaray, with four rounds left in the season.
Previously, Mourinho grabbed Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk by the nose after a loss in the Turkish Cup.
Additionally, the Portuguese coach complained that Turkish media underestimate his work and harshly criticize him.
