Mourinho Explains Why He Considers Himself One of the Best Coaches in the World

Fenerbahçe head coach José Mourinho said he believes a coach’s true value is determined by the number of wins, not by how the media portrays them.

José Mourinho, quoted by Fanatik
I think football is still measured by wins. Many people say something that makes me laugh, "Jose Mourinho is not what he used to be, he has lost his identity" It is better to lose identity and win. The things I did, not only the number of titles I won, but the way I did them... I'm one of the best, if someone says 'no', I won't join him.

José Mourinho has been in charge of Fenerbahçe since the summer of 2024. In the recently concluded season his team finished second in the Turkish championship.

Over his career the Portuguese coach has also led well‑known clubs such as Benfica, Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham and Roma.

Earlier Mourinho said he would like to work in Portugal again in the future.
