After Fenerbahçe's victory over Rizespor (3-2) in the 22nd round of the Turkish league, head coach Jose Mourinho playfully tapped the shoulder of an interpreter who mistakenly interchanged the words "toilet" and "twilight."
During the press conference, the interpreter asked the Portuguese manager for clarification on what he meant by "toilet zone," to which Mourinho smiled, patted the translator on the shoulder, and responded: "Not toilet zone. Twilight! Not toilet, man."
It's worth noting that Jose Mourinho took over as the head coach of Fenerbahçe last year, and currently, the team holds second place in the Turkish league with 51 points from 21 matches. The leaders, Galatasaray, have amassed 57 points after the same number of games.
Earlier, Mourinho had confused Lyon's coach, Pierre Sage, with a staff member before a UEFA Europa League match.
