Former Zenit player Danny expressed his views on the possible appointment of Fenerbahce head coach José Mourinho to take over the national team of Portugal.
During the opening of an exhibition celebrating Zenit's centenary Danny gave a comment to Telecomasia.net:

Mourinho is an excellent coach who has managed many clubs. He has many titles and great success with different teams. He would certainly do well with the Portugal national team, but right now Roberto Martínez is doing a great job.
Earlier, reports suggested that Mourinho is among the top candidates for the role of head coach of the Portuguese national team.
Currently, the Portugal national team is led by Spaniard Roberto Martínez, whose contract extends until 2026.
