In an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, former Uzbekistan national team striker Jafar Irismetov shared his thoughts on the possible transfer of CSKA midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullaev to Turkish club Istanbul Başakşehir.
I believe that this would be a good step for Fayzullaev. Recently, he has mostly been on the bench at CSKA. The Turkish league is attractive, especially since their clubs participate in European competitions.
“Istanbul Başakşehir has just signed Shomurodov, which indicates their serious intentions to compete for a Champions League spot. It’s clear the team has big goals, especially since they paid a significant amount for Shomurodov. I think it would definitely be better for Fayzullaev to continue his career in Turkey," Irismetov said.
Earlier, it was reported that Fayzullaev is close to leaving CSKA for Başakşehir for €7.5 million. The Turkish club is actively negotiating with CSKA and is prepared to pay the full amount for the midfielder in one installment.
