According to MSN, Andriy Lunin, the goalkeeper for La Liga's Real Madrid and the Ukrainian national team, could be on the move during the summer transfer window of 2025.
Reports indicate that the 25-year-old shot-stopper has caught the attention of Manchester United. It is said that the club's manager Ruben Amorim has set a condition for the United management: they must sign either Lunin or World Cup 2022 champion Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa and the Argentine national team. However, Martinez has received more lucrative offers from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
On July 5, Diario Gol reported that Lunin intends to spend the 2025/2026 season at Real Madrid, aiming to prove his worth to the coaching staff led by Xabi Alonso.
During the 2024/2025 season, Lunin played seven matches in La Liga, keeping four clean sheets while conceding seven goals, and he participated in two UEFA Champions League matches, letting in four goals. His contract with Real Madrid runs until the end of June 2030, and Transfermarkt estimates him at 18 million euros.
