Zenit forward Mateo Cassierra, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, shared his dream of playing for Colombia at the 2026 World Cup.
“Every footballer dreams of representing their national team. I’m no exception. Of course, I dream of being on the squad, especially at the World Cup. It’s an honor to participate for any footballer. I already have experience playing for the national team, and I’m confident it’s within my reach,” Cassierra said.

The most important thing is to perform my duties at the club with quality, responsibility, and professionalism, helping Zenit. I’m sure that good performances at the club can attract attention, and I have every chance of making the national team.
Cassierra has not played for Colombia since 2023. Colombia has already qualified successfully for the World Cup 2026 and will participate for the seventh time. Their best achievement was making the quarterfinals in 2014.
