Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has commented on rumors that the club will re-sign midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Earlier it was reported that Napoli plans to sign a new contract with the player until 2028 on better terms.
"Is it true that the club is interested in signing a new contract with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia? No. We haven't even talked about it yet," Sport-Express quoted Giuntoli as saying.
Kvaratskhelia became a Napoli player in the summer of 2022. He previously played for Lokomotiv and Rubin. The midfielder played 17 matches for the Neapolitan club, scoring eight goals and giving ten assists. During this period his value by Transfermarkt grew from €15 million to €35 million.
