Newcastle United have turned down Liverpool's generous offer for forward Alexander Isak, according to The Athletic. The Reds were prepared to pay around £120 million but received a firm rejection.
The Newcastle club is trying to keep the player, offering him a new, more lucrative contract with the option to leave next summer, and is also working to persuade him to stay with his teammates. However, Isak is determined to leave the club this summer.
While the main team is training in South Korea, the player is training with Spain's Real Sociedad, where he previously played.
Last season, Alexander Isak participated in 42 matches, scoring 27 goals and providing six assists. Transfermarkt estimates him at €120 million.
