Santos forward Neymar has declared his intention to score in the 2026 World Cup final for the Brazilian national team.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Neymar on social media as saying:
If we get to the final… I promise I'll score a goal.
At the 2026 World Cup, Brazil will compete in Group C alongside Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
This season, Neymar has made 28 appearances for Santos across all competitions, recording 11 goals and four assists. The forward's current contract with the Brazilian club is valid until the end of this year. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €10 million.
