According to Brazilian outlet Jornal A Tribuna, Santos forward Neymar will not participate in matches played on synthetic pitches.
The source states that the reason for this decision is an increased risk of injury: falls on artificial turf cause him sharp pain in his joints and knees.
Neymar joined Santos in January of this year and is under contract until the end of 2025. He has played 22 matches for the club, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
