Pique Recalls Messi's Unbelievable Talent As A Youngster

Former Barcelona and Spanish national team defender Gerard Pique recalled his impressions when he first saw former Barcelona striker Lionel Messi, now playing for Inter Miami in the United States.

TalkSport quotes Pique as saying:

He’s the greatest player in the history of the game. When he arrived, he was very small, thin, like crazy small. But then he started the first training session it seemed impossible that the ball would leave his foot, it was impossible to tackle him and after that day we said, ‘wow, what is this?'

Recall that Messi played 778 matches for Barcelona, scoring 672 goals and providing 303 assists. With the Catalan club, he won ten La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey titles, eight Spanish Super Cups, four Champions League titles, three UEFA Super Cups, and three Club World Cup titles.

Earlier, Pique named Pep Guardiola as the best coach in the history of world football, and 16-year-old Barcelona forward Lamin Yamal spoke about his comparison to Lionel Messi.
