
2018 World Cup champion and Monaco midfielder Paul Pogba has named his favorite for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, the most prestigious individual award in football.
Pogba stated during a livestream with blogger iShowSpeed:
I back Dembouz 100%, he won the UCL, he was crucial this season. This is his year. If he doesn’t win it now, he never will.
Last season, Ousmane Dembélé played in 53 matches for PSG across all competitions, scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists.
Earlier, Goal reported that the 28-year-old Frenchman is a leading contender for the 2025 Ballon d'Or.
The current holder of the award from France Football is Manchester City midfielder and Spain international Rodri.
It should be noted that the nominees for the Ballon d'Or will be announced in August, with the award ceremony scheduled for September 22 in Paris.
