Monaco midfielder Paul Pogba has once again encountered a setback on his path back to football – the Frenchman suffered a strain in his right thigh muscle, reports Nice-Matin.
The 32-year-old player signed a contract with the club in July 2025 but has yet to appear on the field. Pogba needed time to regain full fitness after a long hiatus. Previously, former Monaco head coach Adi Hütter noted that the midfielder was aiming to be included in the squad for the Ligue 1 Round 8 match against Angers scheduled for October 18. However, due to the new injury, his return has been postponed again.
It is worth recalling that at the end of June, 32-year-old Paul Pogba officially joined Monaco, signing a contract valid until summer 2026.
His last minutes on the pitch were back in September 2023 while playing for Juventus. Soon after, he was suspended for four years for violating anti-doping rules, but the sanction was later reduced to 18 months.
By March 2025, Pogba had served his suspension fully and regained the right to play again.
