Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski will once again represent the Polish national team following the appointment of Jan Urban as head coach, as reported by Goal.pl.
According to the source, the 36-year-old forward has decided to return to the national team.
It is noted that his return will not come with any conditions, regarding the captaincy as well. This matter will still need to be discussed, but Lewandowski does not insist on keeping the captain’s armband.
Earlier reports indicated that Lewandowski had refused to play for the national team due to a loss of trust in former coach Michal Probierz, who stripped him of the captaincy.
Probierz left his position as head coach on June 12.
Robert Lewandowski is Poland's all-time leading goal scorer, with 85 goals in 158 matches. He has been a part of the national team since 2008.
