Real Madrid defender Raul Asensio may face a prison sentence of 2.5 years. According to Cadena SER, the Spanish prosecutor's office has filed charges related to the violation of privacy rights.
The investigation indicates that the incident took place in 2023 when several players from Real Madrid's youth team engaged in consensual intimate acts with two women. This was recorded on video, after which Asensio allegedly requested the footage and shared it with an acquaintance. The prosecutor’s office considers this act criminally punishable.
The 22-year-old footballer is accused of participating in the distribution of intimate materials without consent from the parties involved. The case is now headed to court.
During the 2024/25 season, Raul Asensio played 57 matches for both the first and youth teams of Real Madrid, contributing with two assists.
