
On Wednesday, November 26, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Tottenham Hotspur 5-3 in a match during the fifth round of the Champions League group stage for the 2025-2026 season. The victory marked the Parisians' 13th win in the tournament within a calendar year.
According to IFFHS, this is a new record in the Champions League. Previously, the best results belonged to Real Madrid in 2014 and Bayern Munich in 2001, both of whom won 12 games in a calendar year.
In June, PSG defeated Inter 5-0 in the final and won the tournament for the first time. Following five rounds of the current season, the Parisians are in second place in the overall standings with 12 points.
