PSG Defeat Tottenham in UEFA Super Cup Final After Intense Penalty Shootout

Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham played out a 2-2 draw in the UEFA Super Cup final on August 13 at Bluenergy Stadium, with PSG prevailing 4-3 in the penalty shootout.

Micky van de Ven opened the scoring for Tottenham in the 39th minute and Cristian Romero doubled their advantage early in the second half with a 48th-minute strike. Lee Kang-in pulled one back for PSG in the 85th and Goncalo Ramos levelled the score in the final minutes of the match at 90+4', forcing extra time.

The match was ultimately decided from the spot, PSG winning the shootout 4-3.

The Parisians won the Super Cup for the first time in their history.
