The Nanterre prosecutor’s office has filed a request with the court to issue an indictment against PSG defender Achraf Hakimi in connection with a rape case dating back to 2023, as reported by Le Parisien.
According to sources, an investigative judge will need to confirm or dismiss the terms of the final indictment. If found guilty, the Moroccan footballer could face up to 15 years in prison.
Hakimi was accused of this crime in 2023. In December of the same year, he met with the alleged victim for the first time in front of an investigator after the accusations were made. The PSG defender claims that he is innocent.
Hakimi has been with PSG since July 2021, playing a total of 175 matches, scoring 25 goals, and providing 35 assists.
It was also reported that former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is facing allegations of sexual assault.
