Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé suffered an injury during France’s Euro qualifying match against Ukraine, which ended in a confident 2-0 victory for Les Bleus.
According to L’Équipe, PSG’s management is deeply upset about the injury to their star player. The club’s medical staff had warned the French national team’s coaching staff that Dembélé was experiencing significant fatigue and should not be played against Ukraine due to a high risk of injury.
Despite these warnings, Dembélé was brought on during the second half. In the 81st minute, he was substituted after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Recovery from this type of injury typically takes anywhere from three to eight weeks for football players.
France's next match is scheduled for September 9 against Iceland, with kickoff set for 21:45 GMT+3.
