Raul Gonzalez, who previously played for Real Madrid, is leaving the club. The 47-year-old Spaniard has coached the youth squad of los Blancos since July 2019.
According to Relevo, the former Real Madrid captain feels annoyed that he did not have the opportunity to work with the main squad of Real Madrid.
The current mentor of los Blancos Carlo Ancelotti will leave the club at the end of the season. Former Real Madrid player Xabi Alonso is among the main contenders for the post. He recently announced his resignation as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen.
Last fall, there were reports that Raul was considered as a possible head coach of the Armenian national team. However, in February this year, the team was led by Dutch specialist John van 't Schip.
