Real Madrid intends to request a postponement of their opening match against Osasuna in the new La Liga season. This news comes from journalist Miguel Ángel Díaz.
The match is scheduled for August 19.
According to the source, Real Madrid believe they won’t have enough time to recover and prepare after the Club World Cup 2025, prompting them to seek a rescheduling of the game.
Notably, last season Real Madrid finished second in the Spanish league, accumulating 84 points and trailing Barcelona by four points.
On July 9, the Madrid team will face PSG in the semifinals of the Club World Cup 2025, with the finals taking place on July 13.
