River Plate Sought to Invite Ronaldo to Play at Club World Cup

Argentine club River Plate have approached Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo with an offer to play for their team at the Club World Cup, which is scheduled to start on June 14. This is reported by Ole.

According to the source, Marcelo Gallardo, head coach of River Plate, contacted the Portuguese player, but the 40-year-old striker rejected the proposal.

Earlier, there were media reports about Ronaldo's possible loan from Al-Nassr for the summer to give him the opportunity to participate in this tournament.

At the Club World Cup, River Plate will compete in the same group as Urawa Red Diamonds, Monterrey and Inter. The final match of the tournament will take place on July 13.
