Roma Announce Appointment Of De Rossi As Head Coach

Former Roma Italian national team midfielder, 2006 World Cup champion with the Italy national team, and longtime team captain Daniele De Rossi has become the new head coach of Serie A club Roma.

The press service of the Roman club reported about the appointment of the 40-year-old former midfielder. De Rossi's last job was at the Serie B club SPAL, where the specialist worked from October 2022 to February 2023.

On January 16, the Giallorossi announced the dismissal of Portuguese head coach Jose Mourinho, who worked at Roma since May 2021. Under the leadership of the 60-year-old coach, the capital team reached the Europa League final in the season-2022/2023, and also won the Conference League-2021/2022.
