Al-Nassr newcomer Cristiano Ronaldo said at a press conference that he was offered contracts in teams around the world, but he chose to play in Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo
I received offers from Europe. Clubs from the United States, Australia, Brazil and Portugal wanted to sign me. But I chose Al-Nassr. I want to take part in the development of not only football, but also other areas of life in this beautiful country. This is a new challenge for me, and I'm happy with my decision.

Ronaldo's contract is for two years with a salary of €200 million per season. In the new team the player has become the highest-paid footballer in history.

The forward started the current season for Manchester United, spending 16 matches for the club, where he scored three goals and gave two assists. Ronaldo's contract was terminated in November after a scandalous interview in which he criticized the club's management.
