Ronaldo Did Not Participate in FIFA Awards Voting

Al-Nassr and Portugal national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo ignored the selection process for the FIFA Men's Player of the Year.

The voting for the players' awards is conducted by the captains of national teams. Ronaldo, as the captain of the Portuguese side, did not exercise his right to vote. Instead, the selection was made by Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.

Silva gave his first-place preference to PSG midfielder Vitinha, placed PSG defender Nuno Mendes in second, and ranked the overall winner, PSG forward Ousmane Demele, in third.

The Best FIFA awards ceremony took place on December 16 in Doha, Qatar.
